They are then approved by all parties involved (thesis supervisor, lab supervisor, doctoral school).
For theses funded by the Region, the requirement to participate in CSTI (Scientific, Technical and Industrial Culture) activities should not be taken lightly. The doctoral school will not approve the thesis defence until the CSTI quota has been met.
→ CSTI Normandy
For theses funded by the Region, as part of your thesis you must participate in one action per year to promote scientific, technical and industrial culture (CSTi) in Normandy. Some examples of CSTI:
- Science Festival: event from 4 to 20 October 2024 (https://www.education.gouv.fr/la-fete-de-la-science-12287)
- Fête de l’Excellence Normande (FENO) organised by the Normandy Region to showcase the region’s expertise
- My thesis in 180 seconds
- In Caen, activity at the Dome and in Rouen at the Atrium
- Welcoming students to laboratories
- Communication initiative in secondary schools
- Pint of Science
- …communication initiative aimed at the general public
If you have not yet participated in a CSTI initiative this year, we invite you to contact the organisers of these events in your laboratories.
