Teaching experience in higher education is highly recommended if you are considering becoming a lecturer-researcher. Several options are available depending on the type of funding for your PhD. These teaching hours also provide an additional source of income.

PhD students receiving a grant from the university or the region can apply for a teaching assignment of up to 64 hours per year. You will need to take training courses at the INSPE. For other types of funding, teaching may be carried out on a part-time basis.

The allocation of these teaching hours (teaching assignment, temporary teaching positions) depends on the institution.

If you wish to teach but are unable to find teaching hours despite your requests to those around you (and even though you have all the necessary skills), please inform the doctoral school.
