Teaching experience in higher education is highly recommended if you are considering becoming a lecturer-researcher. Several options are available depending on the type of funding for your PhD. These teaching hours also provide an additional source of income.

PhD students receiving a grant from the university or the region can apply for a teaching assignment of 64 hours. You will need to complete training with the INSPE. For other types of funding, teaching will be carried out on a part-time basis.

The allocation of these teaching hours (teaching assignment, temporary teaching positions) depends on the location. The doctoral school is not involved in the process everywhere.

If you wish to teach but are unable to find hours despite your requests to those around you (and even though you have all the required skills), please inform the doctoral school.
