A doctoral contract has a duration of 36 months.
As a rule, there is no second exemption from enrolment, and even first exemptions from enrolment will not be granted systematically.
These requests will be reviewed by the doctoral school council in September, based on a file justifying the reasons for the delay, showing that the thesis is well advanced, and firmly committing to a defence date, with funding for the period outside the contract.
An application form for enrolment in an exceptional year will be available on your institution’s website.

After consultation with the doctoral school council and approval by the president of the institution of enrolment, the doctoral student may proceed with re-enrolment.
