Procedure identical to that of Normandy institutions:

The doctorate is awarded by Normandie Université and co-accredited with the institutions.

The procedure for requesting authorisation for a thesis defence is now paperless and carried out using the SyGAL application (Doctoral Management and Support System).

The process is described in the document entitled ‘Outline of the organisation of a thesis defence’.

Before entering the examiners in SYGAL, you must send the proposal for the two members by email to edmiis@normandie-univ.fr for prior approval.

The thesis defence request must be entered into the SyGAL application no later than two and a half months before the defence date, otherwise the jury will not be able to approve it and the defence date will have to be changed.
