General training courses

General (cross-disciplinary) training courses may be taken from the training catalogue available on SyGAL, or from any other organisation.

In the latter case, interested doctoral students may apply for financial assistance from the ED MIIS by submitting a funding request that specifies and justifies the desired objective and the choice of training organisation.

Hours are also allocated for collective responsibilities and elected positions (university councils, organisation of doctoral student days, doctoral student associations, etc.).

Skills developed during thesis work that enhance the value of the doctorate in the private sector may be taken into account, such as involvement in the life of the doctoral school, an elected position at an institution, or the organisation of events within the institution.
