MIIS doctoral school
The MIIS (Mathematics, Information, Systems Engineering) doctoral school, resulting from the merger of the SIMEM and SPMII doctoral schools, has been accredited by the ComUE Normandie University since January 1, 2017.
It brings together about 200 doctoral students supervised by more than 150 HDRs (Authorized to Supervise Research).
The theses are prepared within 7 Normandy research units recognized by the CNRS or the MESR.
The objective of the ED is to train high-level PhDs, capable of conducting high-level scientific projects in digital sciences:
- Mathematics (fundamental and applied)
- Information Science and Technology
- Systems Engineering Sciences
It reinforces the synergies between the two federations NormaSTIC and Normandie Mathématiques and is associated with the scientific fields of regional competitiveness or excellence clusters (TES, Mov’eo, Nov@log).
Due to its positioning, the scientific themes of the MIIS Doctoral School have a strong socio-economic impact. The doctor thus trained will be able to pursue a career with significant levels of responsibility and expertise in the public as well as private, national and international sectors.
The ED develops a range of scientific, disciplinary and professional training.
